Our Mission
D.O.G.™ is an Alliance that focus on unity and dedicated to the welfare of its members as far as possible with the help of ever-improving management skills of the leaders to deliver progress of excellence of the Alliance as a whole and helping members to gain experience and knowledge to play Travian the D.O.G. way while having fun at the same time.

To improve Alliance best ranking by 10 every age until no. 1 and maintain there.
Our History
2007 - D.O.G. founded by Dogmatix in server 7 became a top 100 Alliance without any wings. Won server 7 under S7Shield led by the Alliance Ashoka.
2007-2008 - D.O.G. moved to server 5 after server 7. Became a top 60 Alliance with 2 wings. Merged with B.A.D.L to become BAD-DOG Alliance Group with 2 wings and ranked 34th. Allied with Semper Group and lost the server.
Dogmatix quitted server 5. Bpwong85 was given leadership.
2008 - D.O.G. without merger with any other strong Alliance like B.A.D.L. in server 5, became 33rd in rank. 4 wings were created. The biggest amount of members of up to 240 members. Dominate the South of SE region. An act of courage, refused to merge with 1 SE region Alliance meta, fought hard and lost but destroyed at least 23 villages and killed at least 150k troops belonging to the no.1 Alliance L.A. while doing so. Offically migrated over server 8. Remaining Alliance decided to continue fighting until the end to see what happens to the end game whether the dominating SE Region Alliance meta will be challenged or will have easy win.
D.O.G. for the first time was led by Militarized Leaders with the Leader Bpwong85 as an ex-Military Policeman, Chief of Army Tansoric as an ex-military tactician, Recruiter Sobrius III as a current Airforce technician specialist/non-commissioned officer and Jbar as an ex-marine corps specialist/non-commisioned officer.
The war with no. 1 Alliance had 71% of the Alliance stood up without surrendering even upon death.
2008 - Server 8, a newly created Server. D.O.G. joined with about 40 members with few joined in from previous allies in Server 7. D.O.G. has 3 wings of about 140 members located at NW region. Best ranking at 17th, an ally of LEGO meta.
D.O.G. started to be run like a Business Organisation with the Leader Bpwong85 studying Business to implement Business Management theories into practice.
Lost the server to áp.PTT™ meta. Ended with 26th in rank after sending top players to form a co-alliance wing between D.O.G. and LEGO to get the top Alliance rank but ended as 2nd as well.
We had the following medals. 8 Top 10 Climbers of the week, 3 Top 10 Defenders of the week and 1 Top 10 Attackers of the week.
2009 - Server 8. D.O.G. rejoined at the SW region. About 30-40 members rejoined. Going to be aggressive this age round. Aiming for top 10 Alliances ranking.

The Organisation of D.O.G. Alliance

D.O.G. Alliance is being run similar to Business Organisation as well as a Military Organisation. There are Functional Departments such as Military Department, Human Resource Department, Wing Department, Foreign Affairs Department and Communications Department. All members of D.O.G. are members of a brigade group where they work closely with one another in battles. Each Brigade is part of a larger group called a 'Division' and each division is part of a much larger group called a 'Corps'. All these are battle groups who are all under the command of the Chief of Army of the Alliance.
Each wing of D.O.G. is not an independent entity but part of the whole Alliance which means it is under direct command of the Alliance Leader having no rights to be managed by itself but is subjected to the various Department Heads' management methods. A representative from each Department will be sent to each wing. We call these representatives as 'Coordinators' who will help to coordinate with their Department Heads on the management of the various wings. The wings are categorized based on population size of members.
The following are the brief roles of the various Departments:
1) Military Department - ensure the security of the Alliance to eliminate threats and to plan military strategy to enhance the military power of the Alliance. The Department is responsible in keeping the whole Alliance to be fit for battles.
2) Human Resource Department - responsible for the manpower matters of the Alliance including the welfare of members and recruiting suitable players to the Alliance and ensure that members become part of the Alliance and play as a team with the rest of the Alliance.
3) Wing Department - responsible to ensure all wings are in good operation condition. Wing Department Personnel only oversee the operations of the various Departments in their wings without interfering unless the coordinators are not doing a good job and hence complains will be sent to the respective Department Head to reassign another coordinator.
4) Foreign Affairs Department - responsible in establishing relationship with other Alliances ensuring NAP treaty and Confederation is kept without friendly fires and monitoring any activity that may threaten our relationship with other Alliances. The Department is also responsible for public relations matters and handle any conflicts with diplomatic way and if it fails, military will come in.
5) Communications Department - responsible in ensuring good communications within the Alliance in an orderly manner. Communications are very important to any organisation and it will affect how effective and efficient an organisation will be.
Management Style of D.O.G.
D.O.G. is a bureaucratic organisation in which the Department Heads are elected by members or chosen by the Alliance Leader. All members of their Departments will then be chosen by the various Department Heads.
Despite being a bureaucratic organisation, D.O.G. is not an autocratic organisation but democratic in the way that polls for important matters are often held and important and non-urgent matters will be decided by votes. Members are free to feedback and if their feedback is valid and workable, it will be taken into account.
As the saying goes "Not all Managers are Leaders, not all Good Leaders are Good Managers but all Good Managers had to be Good Leaders". A manager simply manages resources to do something which often the goals of the Organisation but a leader motivates people to do something though not necessary the goals of the Organisation. It is important that a Manager is also a Leader for humans are not mere resources but have feelings and need to be respected and motivated. In D.O.G., we do not expect any Leader to behave like a pure Manager but to be good Managers as well as Leaders to motivate their group mates to reach the Organisation goals.
